It Is September...the beginning of fall....a month I loved
It held a different meaning for me over the last two years. It is impossible not to remember the pain and suffering of your child.
As we approached September, my heart raced, I felt anxious, and concerned how I would feel.
As each day on the calendar draws closer to the saddest day of my life, I recall the heartache, the nightmare that was our life for 21 days.
As I write this, and it has been a long time since I have, it was pouring rain, all of a sudden it stopped, and a ray of sun is streaming into my window and onto my keyboard. Her presence is felt, I felt it all day today and that is what drew me to write.
She knows we suffer, she knows we are trying and so she sends us a glimmer of hope, a fond memory to cover up the tragic ones.
It seems hard to believe we are coming up on two years without our Angel, but as in all things life just keeps moving us along.
And so I wonder after two years, has your life changed?
Did the chain we created of love, hope and faith continue for you? or, as time passed did you slide back into your old ways?
Have you remembered to stop and pray...to feel God's love and precence in your life?
I'm sure this is the Holy Spirit at work in me right now and Nicole's message must continue.
Through her suffering we have had many gifts of grace, I know she wants that to continue for all of us...therefore the plea continues, to love and cherish what you have and what God has given you. Don't take for granted that tomorrow will come, live for the moments you have and do it with glory to the Father who bestowed you with these gifts. Some may say their life is nothing but a cross...but a cross given to us by God can be pure love. It is meant to be embraced and to grow from it. Your cross that you think is to hard to bare will draw you closer to him, and the closer you come to the Father the more you are consoled. The more you will see love and compassion.
If we focus on God's love and promise for eternal life, you will gladly pick up your cross so you can be closer to his love.
We will all suffer here on this earth..none of us spared, but how we take our suffering and unite it to the cross of Christ, is what makes the difference for us.
Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted, place your heart in the loving hands of Jesus and allow him to heal you. He has held our family in his embrace and we will continue to praise his name and give thanks for the gifts
